The National Institute of Health (NIH), Islamabad, has announced new employment opportunities for eligible candidates belonging to Balochistan. Applications are invited from qualified and motivated individuals for three vacant positions in different departments. National Institute of Health Vacant Positions
According to the official advertisement, three positions are available under different Basic Pay Scales (BPS). The details of these vacancies are provided below:
- Assistant Scientific Officer (BPS-16): One position is available for candidates holding an M.Sc./BS degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or Pharmacy from an HEC-recognized institution. Applicants must be between 18 and 28 years of age.
- Junior Technician (BPS-09): One vacancy is announced for candidates possessing an F.Sc. qualification in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT). The required age limit is 18 to 25 years.
- Assistant (BPS-15): One position is available under the Health Research Institute (HRI), which was merged with NIH. Candidates must have a graduate qualification along with a six-week basic IT training course, including MS Office, conducted by NITB. The age requirement is 18 to 28 years.
All three positions are reserved for candidates holding a Balochistan domicile.
Eligibility Requirements and Age Relaxation
Applicants must fulfil the educational qualifications and age requirements specified for their desired positions. General age relaxation of five years is admissible under the applicable government policy. Special provisions are also available for certain Balochistan candidates and government employees.
Government servants who have completed two years of continuous government service by the closing date may receive up to ten years of age relaxation, subject to a maximum age of 55 years. Age will be calculated from the closing date for applications.

Applications submitted by hand or through advance copies will not be entertained. Candidates already working in government departments should apply through the proper channel.
