Position Details
The vacancy is for Unit Head – Credit Card Reconciliation in the Operations Group. It carries a grade range of Band-5 to Band-3 and is located in Lahore. The selected professional will oversee reconciliation activities related to credit card transactions, merchant settlements, and financial records.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will supervise daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation of credit card and merchant settlements, merchant discount rates (MDR), interchange fees, processor statements, and internal general ledger accounts. The role covers the issuing and acquiring sides of the card business, including cardholder transactions, merchant settlements, and point-of-sale (POS) networks.
Responsibilities include reconciling scheme charges and vendor invoices, maintaining relationships with card networks such as Visa, MasterCard and UPI, settlement banks and third-party processors, and monitoring transactions to identify misuse, system errors or unauthorized charges. The Unit Head will investigate processing issues with vendors, IT and core banking teams.
The position requires leading automation initiatives to replace manual tracking with specialized reconciliation software. The selected candidate will prepare management reports covering aging breaks, outstanding risks and financial impacts, and arrange training updates on card network rules and operational controls.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must hold at least a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification from an HEC-recognized local or foreign university. A minimum of nine years of banking or non-banking experience is required. Candidates must be no older than 55 years on the application date.
